Tennessee Fur Harvesters Association

Welcome to the Tennessee Fur Harvesters Association

We are dedicated to preserving our heritage and our rights as outdoorsmen, with a special emphasis on trapper training, proper trapping methods and the management of Tennessee's furbearers.

TFHA

invites you to attend any of our scheduled events held through out the year.  These events range from district meets, to rondezvous, to fur sales.  These events are a great oppurtunity for new trappers to learn more about our great sport of trapping, not to mention the many friends one will make while in the company of fellow sportsman.

Important Information...

Members we are still getting mailings back that we are sending out. So if you have moved please give me your new address. With what Lora Daniel sent out I have received about 10 back, I have called and got a few of you to call back with your new address, so if I called you please call me back. If we don't have your right address this can keep you from getting your T.P.C.

Thanks,

Nancy Rogers

News:

Randy Husky of TWRA has contacted me, and they are interested in getting the Trapper Certification Class up and running.  On March 13th in Crossville Tn at 1:00pm, TWRA will hold a seminar for trappers wanting to teach Trappers Education and certify the trappers in order to do that.  Randy is planning on having at least three of these across the state, to of course have Trapper Trainers through out the state.  For more information or if you wish to attend, call me and I will help all I can.  The class will be held in the TWRA Office in Crossville.  More information for future classes will be listed as it becomes available.

Thanks,

James Lord

Announcements:

TFHA Trapping contest:

We are sad to announce that the contest will be canceled due to lack of  trappers signed up for the contest.  We apologize to those that did sign up.

We would like to try this again next year so we need your input to help make it better suited to fit what you would like to see.

To those that didn't sign up, but would have due to some other reason let us know why.

Was it the rules or some of them that might have turned you away?

Would you like to have it single competition, pick your own partner or do you have other ideas?

Thanks, and once again, our apologies to those that joined.

To the donators of items for the event:

Thanks for the donations, and we will auction or sale the items donated and your donation will still go into the fund for the help of lodging expenses for the 2010 SE NTA, you have my word on it.

thanks again,

James Lord
